Below ground pipework
We have many years’ experience operating within the water, gas and drainage sector undertaking below ground excavations, replacement and repair services.
AN EXAMPLE OF HOW WE WORK:
Renewing a water main
Wherever possible, we use trenchless technology such as impact moling. This allows for the replacement and rerouting of water mains in difficult to access areas. Two separate pits are evacuated – a launch pit and a reception pit. Once the mole has passed between the 2 pits the new water main is pulled through and connected.
Moling is used as a quicker, less disruptive, and more efficient method of renewing a water main. As well as being more environmentally friendly than open excavation, a mole might be used where it is not possible to carry out trenching due to various surface imperfections or accessibility issues.
