HIU (Heat Interface Units) Sets
We supply Heat Interface Units (HIU), also known as Thermal Interface Units (TIU), to efficiently distribute heat and hot water in district heating or network heating systems used in apartment blocks, commercial buildings, social housing, holiday homes and parks.
Optimised Heating
HIUs feature ‘optimised heating’ electronic controls to monitor and regulate the temperature on both the flow and return. The controller reduces the temperature to the space heating circuit when the room temperature reaches the desired level, maintaining the lowest return temperatures to the network and plant.
HIU systems can be designed in several permutations to suit project requirements and budget. HIUs have a wide range of features including Automatic Fault Diagnosis and programmable settings and are designed to offer both supply and metering of domestic hot water and/or primary heating water.
TIUs supply water via a high efficiency plate heat exchanger to provide high levels of mains pressure hot water.
Direct and Indirect Heating
We can design systems to provide heating via a plate heat exchanger (indirect heating), or via the incoming pipework (direct heating), giving a level of flexibility in design and specification depending on the individual scheme’s requirements.
The units can be linked via a Building Management System (BMS) to provide accurate reporting and billing data for the client.
